Cluj Napoca offers some of the best theaters and operas in Roumania.National Theater - Romania OperaTheater "Lucian Blaga" inaugurated on 1 December 1919, in Avram Iancu Square, is the most important theatrical institution in Transylvania. The building, built in 1907 by the Austrian architects Helmer and Fellner, also hosts the Romanian Opera, the oldest institution Lirico-drama from Roumania. Room has a capacity of 928 seats, is designed in neobaroc style with inflexible stylistic secesionism inspired decoration in the hall.
Hungarian Theater - Hungarian OperaBuilding houses both Hungarian Opera and Hungarian Theater. It is the oldest theater company of the Hungarian language, founded in the year 1792. Peak times of the theater was marked by theatrical animators, directors and executives of international resonance that have entered the proper right of Hungarian theatrical history, and European, such as E. Kovcs Gyula, the initiator of Shakespeareiene cycle plays (1865 - 1899), Jeno Janovics, founder of the first Hungarian film studio (1905 - 1930), or Harag Gyrgy, director of eurpoean waist (1973-1985), one of the great masters of the scene in Romania. Hungarian Opera is founded in 1948 by a state decree, designed to support and serve the preservation of cultural traditions of Hungarian lyrical scene, presenting shows in the Hungarian language, traditions whose roots are known since 1792, date of first Hungarian language show in Cluj at that time.  |

Botanical Garden "Alexandru Borza" The second most important in Europe, authentic botanical treasure, with a varied number of plants, some of them very rare, Botanical Garden covers an area of almost 14 hectares in the southern part of Cluj, managing to grow in time so that being a touristic sight in Cluj and a major educational and scientific space of the Babes-Bolyai University.
St. Michael Church - the church was built on the site of St. James Chapel between 1350-1487 and is one of the most valuable monuments of Gothic architecture in Transylvania. The altar was made around 1390 and the tower was built in 1860. Wall paintings were executed in the fifteenth century and the stained glass and sculptures are well preserved.
Banffy Palace - built between 1774 and 1785 on the edge of a rectangular courtyard by Count György Banffy, is considered to be the most representative building in Baroque style in Transylvania. Rococo has Banffy family emblem and statues of characters from Roman mythology: Mars, Apollo, Diana, Perseu, Minerva and Hercules.
Matia House - Initially Steven Kolb house, is one of the oldest architectural monuments in Cluj, the only Cluj palace of transition era from the Gothic to Renaissance style, in the building was born king Matia Corvin. In medieval times building was situated on Holy Spirit street, bearing the house number 258.
Tailors' Bastion - is one of the few towers that was part of fortification Old Castle of Cluj and has been preserved intact until today. It was funded by guild Tailors in Cluj. Each bastion (tower) of the medieval defense wall was financed by another guild (tailors, cobbler, carpenters, masons, saddler etc.).
